CRDAMC lights its holiday tree for the season

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center staff and visitors gathered for its annual tree lighting ceremony Dec. 1. Col. Garrick Cramer, commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. Anthony Forker Jr. flipped the switch to light up the hospital’s 20-foot tree that was assembled by hospital staff volunteers, and Copperas Cove High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets.

Medical Readiness Battalion Charlie Company changes commanders

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Charlie Co., Student Detachment, Medical Readiness Battalion, Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center changed commanders in a ceremony 30 Nov. Cpt. Alexander Deatherage receive the guidon from Lt. Col. Jamie Culbreath as Cpt. Tomas Mwibanda relinquishes command to move on to attend Army health education and training to obtain his doctorate degree.

US military legislative representative tours CRDAMC

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Penny Stehlik, military legislative assistant to Texas Congressman John Carter, toured the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center Nov. 6. Stehlik received an informative briefing on the hospital’s healthcare mission, capabilities, staffing, and its partnerships with organizations in the TRICARE network and surrounding community, e.g., it’s partnerships with local school districts’ healthcare programs to train, certify, and recruit medical professionals. The tour of its labor and delivery, behavioral health, pharmacy, and the emergency departments provided her an opportunity to meet front line leaders and learn how each department functions to serve Fort Cavazos Soldiers, veterans, beneficiaries and the surrounding community. – 30 –

CRDAMC ‘one-stop resource’ during Fort Cavazos Retiree Health Fair

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center provided veterans health care screening opportunities and available immunizations, resources and information from hospital staff and Fort Cavazos organizations during the 48th annual Retiree Health Fair Oct. 28 here. They also provided advance care planning sessions and Humana and Tricare information.

Darnall Army Medical Center and many other organizations will keep striving to help beneficiaries receive support that they need and deserve for suicide prevention throughout the year. The hospital ends the month dedicated to Suicide Prevention with a resource fair and peer training hosted by the departments of pastoral care and behavioral health 26 Sept.
