Newborn Care Guide

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby! We have prepared this web page to help answer some questions you may have about infant care when you return home. If you have other questions or concerns about your infant, the Newborn Follow-up Clinic is available for normal newborns less than two weeks old. You may call the Newborn Follow-up Clinic at 288-8440 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our Pediatric Clinic offers well baby check-ups and immunizations from birth to 18 months. The Pediatric Clinic is available for the treatment of illnesses, chronic conditions, and older children's routine physicals. The Pediatric Clinic is open 7 days/week. Visits at the Pediatric Clinic are by appointment only. For routine appointments in the Pediatric Clinic, call the patient Appointment Service at 288-8888 (7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday). If you need an appointment over the weekend, call early for appointments to the same day clinic. All family members must be enrolled in DEERS to be eligible for medical care. For after hour emergencies, please bring your child to the Emergency Department. In most cases, a physician will need to actually see your child in order to assess his or her condition before advice can be given.

The Nurse Advice Line 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273); Option 1 is a health care information service for active-duty military, family members, and retirees enrolled in a CRDAMC health clinic. The service is available 24 hours every day of the year.
