Mission

The Health Physics Office ensures the safe and compliant use of both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation by providing comprehensive Health Physics Services and effectively managing CRDAMC’s Defense Health Agency (DHA) Radioactive Materials Authorization.

Scope of Practice

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable Federal, DHA and Army regulations pertaining to Radiation Safety
  • Protect CRDAMC beneficiaries and employees from unnecessary exposure to radiation through enforcement of the ALARA principle
  • Educate staff, supervisors and healthcare providers to address radiation concerns to health and safety
