Pharmacy
We’re pleased to provide pharmacy services to all our patients. You can fill prescriptions at no cost from [our pharmacy/any of our pharmacy locations]. If you have a prescription from a TRICARE network or non-network doctor, you may fill it here, as long as it’s available on our Basic Core Formulary. Call us at 254-288-8800 to see if your drug is available. We provide up to a 90-day supply for most drugs.
Our Military Pharmacy Services
Our pharmacies process approximately 1 million prescriptions each year. Due to the high volume of pharmacy visitors, we recommend beneficiaries use the drop-off service for handwritten prescriptions, automated call-in refill service, and electronic prescription service to obtain medicine prescribed by an off post provider. Pharmacy patrons should also select the appropriate ticket on the queueing kiosk, and have the patient's ID card available when picking up prescriptions for family members 12 years and older (see FAQ for more details). We also recommend participating in the pharmacy messaging service to receive notification when your prescriptions are ready for pick-up.
Maintenance Drugs
Maintenance drugs are those you take regularly for a chronic condition (i.e., drugs to control blood pressure or cholesterol). All beneficiaries must refill certain maintenance drugs through home delivery or at military pharmacies. This does not apply to Active duty service members. Search the List of Maintenance Drugs to see if you have a prescription you should have transferred to be filled here at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center or via home delivery.
Transferring Prescriptions
If you have prescriptions at a TRICARE network pharmacy, you may transfer your prescriptions to our military pharmacy. Call the Express Scripts Member Choice center at 877-882-3335 to learn more about prescription transfers.
Basic Core Formulary
All military pharmacies have a Basic Core Formulary. The Basic Core Formulary is a list of drugs that are available at all full-service military pharmacies. Call us at 254-288-8800 to see if your drug is available.
Basic Core Formulary Search Tool
Use the Basic Core Formulary Search Tool to see if your drug is available at your military pharmacy. A search can tell you:

- Alternative drugs
To start your search, you’ll need to enter the brand or generic name of the drug.
