The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Labor and Delivery Unit

The Labor and Delivery unit is made up of 9 Birthing suites, 3 Antepartum rooms, 6 Outpatient triage rooms, 2 Operating rooms, and 2 Recovery rooms The unit is staffed with military and civilian personnel who are specially trained to care for patients during the pregnancy, delivery, and recovery. Following delivery, the mother and baby will be transferred to the Mother Baby Unit, normally 1.5 – 2 hours later.

The unit is locked at all times and you will need to call the staff from the unit door to request entrance.
