The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Health Promotions provide integrated and standardized primary prevention programs and services that promote enhanced and sustained healthy lifestyles to improve the overall well-being of Soldiers and Family Members.

The Health Promotions Program helps Soldiers and retirees, their families, and Army civilians build and sustain good health. It empowers them to set their own health goals and achieve them. It addresses lifestyle change in areas that affect both short - and long-term health, engaging people in their "life space" - the places where they live, work, relax and rest.
