Inpatient Mental/Behavioral Health (IM/BH)

The Inpatient Mental/Behavioral Health Unit at CRDAMC is an 18-bed unit that is staffed by military and civilian personnel who are specially trained to provide care to behavioral health patients.

Visitation

  • Visitation guidelines for IM/BH are more restrictive due to additional safety regulations.
  • Visiting Hours: Limited to one (1) adult visitor at a time per patient; time limits may be imposed to allow all patients time to visit with friends and family.
  • Visitor Identification: All visitors will check in at the MSA Station and must show a photo ID to sign in.
  • Patients are allowed to choose their visitors. Please let the staff know if there is someone you don't want to see.
  • Visiting Area: All visitors must remain in the common areas. No patients will be allowed to visit behind closed doors or in the patient room.
  • Unauthorized Items: Visitors are not allowed to bring bags, purses, or other items to the visitation area. The only authorized items are a photo ID, keys and a cell phone. All other items will be removed and placed in secured lockers during visitation.
  • A duty uniform, church, or school attire must be worn. No hats, beanies, spaghetti straps, workout clothing, etc.
  • Special visitation for children under the age of 18 is allowed on the weekends and holidays, with a doctor's order. If you would like special visitation, please ask your doctor.
  • All visitors will be screened with a metal detector.
  • All bags and personal items are subject to search.
Our goal is to provide a safe environment where family members can visit patients. In certain situations, we reserve the right to restrict access to patients based on their health and welfare as well as certain communicable disease threat levels within the community. Please keep in mind that our ultimate priority is the safety of our staff and patients. However, there are times when the visitation of family members may not be ideal due to extenuating circumstances. Thank you for your understanding.

For mental/behavioral health emergencies after normal business hours, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
